Replacing legacy illustrations that are outdated for consistency across the product. Working with product to update existing illustrations for voice and video with the new brand style.
Illustrations reflect the functions based on the prompt windows they exist in for both mobile and desktop.
Updating Old Spots
Our team divvied up the spot illustrations thus I was tasked to update these old spots: All Members Are Hidden and Stream is Full.
Concepts
To get each illustration to reflect the voice and video features within the app, we brainstormed ideas behind each prompt then sketched out the best ones from the list. Below are the concepts for the spots: All Members Are Hidden and Stream is Full.
Colored
After each concept was picked by the project lead from product design, we then received feedback from the illustration team to that would help keep the style of each spot consistent to the Discord brand and character guidelines. Here you can see the illustration changes from the line art to the final color.
